About The Project

The main objective of the project The power of Maths is to interest students in mathematics and to motivate them to study this school subject, thus raising the results of external examinations in mathematics among students finishing education in all partner schools. The objectives of the project will be achieved by showing and making students aware of how mathematics is present and needed in their daily lives. Therefore, many related projects will be implemented, including mathematics in cuisine, art, music, architecture, geography and history. These projects will be implemented using modern multimedia programmes, such as: PowToon, LearningApps, Prezi, Kahoot, PowerPoint and Publisher. There will also be a number of activities on the eTwinning and Moodle platform, there will be created the project website and the social profile on Facebook.

Aims

Thanks to these activities, the level of mathematical, logical and abstract thinking will increase. Mathematical games and activities will allow students to play with maths and think positively about it, as well as eliminate students' stress and uncertainty regarding this subject.
The project team working in each partner school will be coordinated by the Polish primary school in Piła through electronic communication and conference calls. As part of five international meetings, the project team will be able to exchange examples of good practice in teaching mathematics, it will have the opportunity to enrich not only mathematical but also cultural and social knowledge and raise the level of English language - the working language of the project
